I've designed this free Hero Bear pattern for people to stitch for key workers during the Coronavirus pandemic. I hope you enjoy stitching the Hero Bear and it brings some comfort both to you and all our heroes.

This is a small pattern which would be easy to stitch up for a card for a key worker, or to hang in your window in a five inch hoop as shown in the image.

Colour and black & white versions of the pattern are included in this listing, along with beginners' cross stitch instructions which show you how to stitch the pattern.

• Approximate size on 14 count aida: 2.4in wide x 3.4in high (6.0cm wide x 8.7cm high)
• 12 colours, DMC numbers given
• Uses full cross stitches and backstitch; no fractional stitches
• Stitch on fabric of your colour choice (image is shown on white fabric)
• Suitable for all skill levels including beginner

Hero Bear - free cross stitch pattern

I haven’t started this yet as I’m doing cross stitch and some knitting for Christmas. I will make it in the New Year.
My daughter works for the ambulance service and has ptsd caused by the job. I’ll do it for her.
