Lunar Eclipse Sequence - Astronomy cross stitch pattern
These detailed and accurate cross stitch patterns show a sequence of images over the course of a total lunar eclipse, or blood moon. You will receive two 15-page PDF booklets, one with the charts in colour blocks and symbols, and the other with the charts in black and white symbols. Each booklet contains the design in two arrangements, one horizontal and one vertical, so you can stitch the layout which suits you. You will also receive a comprehensive PDF guide to cross stitching.
Each chart layout is given as a single page pattern for screen use, and a split page pattern for printing. There is also a page explaining what happens during a lunar eclipse.
Each individual Moon is of diameter 23 stitches, so they can also be stitched and mounted individually as cards or in 3 inch hoops - as ornaments, on a string or perhaps on a Christmas tree.
The horizontal pattern version is 272 stitches wide x 23 stitches high
On 14 count fabric this is approximately 19.4 x 1.6 inches or 49.4 x 4.2 cm
The vertical pattern version is 23 stitches wide x 304 stitches high
On 14 count fabric this is approximately 1.6 x 21.7 inches or 4.2 x 55.2 cm
• 26 colours, DMC numbers given
• Uses full cross stitches; no backstitch or fractional stitches
• Ideally stitch on dark fabric as shown in the images
• Suitable for those with some experience of cross stitch
