Stitching Science: Climbing Goat Club - bimonthly subscription
Welcome to the Stitching Science stream of the Climbing Goat Club! The club is now open to subscribers, and the first patterns on the theme of Animal Cells will be emailed out on 4th September 2025!
This listing is for the bimonthly subscription membership of Stitching Science. You can also pay annually for Club membership and get twelve months for the price of eleven - to do this please click here.
There are two other streams to the Climbing Goat Club: the All The Things Club where you will receive a pattern every month (including all the Stitching Science patterns), which you can subscribe to now; and the Myths & More Club where you will receive bimonthly patterns on myths and other themes. Subscriptions to Myths & More open on 1st October.
The Stitching Science Club is a subscription scheme where you will receive digital patterns bimonthly (every second month) on a wide variety of science themes. As with all my science patterns, I do an enormous amount of research to make them as accurate as possible - as well as looking beautiful! You don't need to know anything about the subject because each pattern includes detailed explanations, so you can learn about what you are stitching. Every month you will also receive a discount code giving you 5% off all other purchases on my website (other than gift vouchers and charity patterns). If you subscribe after the pattern release one month, you will receive your first subscription code in the next new pattern release.
As a subscriber you will receive an email from Climbing Goat Designs every month. Every other month you will receive at least two patterns, on the same (or similar) science topic. One pattern will usually be larger (though usually not that large - often fitting 6 to 8 inch hoops) and one pattern will be smaller (often fitting 3 or 4 inch hoops, or maybe a bookmark or something similar). Sometimes these will be larger and smaller versions of the same design, and sometimes they are two completely different designs on the same theme. Occasionally there may be a set of mini designs instead of a larger design. The idea is that this gives lots of flexibility for you to stitch what suits you, according to how much time you have available and how much you are able to stitch. And you can of course stitch both patterns!
On the intervening months, you will receive an email with a PDF giving details of the next month's science theme, and information on the fabric and threads you will need so that if you wish, you can prepare to stitch the next patterns and be ready when they are released. The patterns themselves will be kept secret until they are released the following month, so that you can enjoy the surprise - a bit like an ongoing stitchalong.
Subscription payments will be taken every other month on the 1st of each month, and patterns will then be emailed to you on the 4th of that month. If you subscribe later in that month, or the second month of the two month period, you will be able to download the current subscription pattern. Your next subscription payment will then be taken on the 1st of the month at the beginning of the next 2 month period.
Payments will be taken on the next month of 1st January, 1st March, 1st May, 1st July, 1st September, 1st November, and then every 2 months thereafter.
An annual payment option is available where you pay for a year in advance, and get one month free. The next annual payment will then be taken on the same day on the following year.
If you subscribe in the last 7 days before any of the next payment dates, you will not receive the previous month’s patterns - instead your payment will cover the patterns released at the beginning of the following month. You will not be charged for that month’s payment. For example, if you subscribe on 28th August, you will not be charged on 1st September, and will receive the 4th September patterns. Your next payment will then be on 1st November.
If you subscribe after the 4th of the month pattern release days, but not in the last seven days before the next pattern release, you will be able to instantly download the currently available patterns, and then you will pay again on the next regular date and receive the next patterns. For example, if you subscribe on 15th September, you will be able to instantly download the September patterns. Your next payment will then be taken on 1st November.
Note that if you are paying in a currency other than British pounds (GBP), your subscriptions will fluctuate slightly due to variations in exchange rate.
This is an entirely digital subscription scheme - you won't receive anything in the mail.
Initially all patterns will only be available to those who join the Club scheme. After some time - at least a few months - I will release them for general availability on my website. If you become a Club member later on and would like to purchase previous Club patterns which haven’t yet been generally released, please let me know and I can invoice you for them personally. If you aren’t a Club member then you will need to wait for the general release.
You can skip a payment (and so skip the next pattern) or unsubscribe at any time.
When you purchase this listing, you will be able to download a welcome PDF to the Stitching Science Club, an introductory booklet for the upcoming patterns, and a PDF of cross stitch instructions. You will then receive the first patterns and the 5% discount code by email on 4th September.
A link to the downloads will be sent to the email address you give when you order. There will also be a link to download the files directly from the completed order page. The files are sent as PDFs in one zip file. Please unzip the file (right click > extract all) after downloading, and then you can open each PDF within the file.
You may need Adobe Reader to open the PDF files. If you don’t have it you can download it for free here: https://get.adobe.com/uk/reader/
If you have any problems or need help please let me know! Thank you so much for being here :-)
Patterns are for personal use only.
