This listing is to purchase the Wonders of Space cross stitch pattern. This was previously released as a stitchalong, and the full pattern is now available. Each section contains a beautiful image from astronomy, so that you can build up your own cross stitched corner of the universe. The pattern also has several pages of descriptions of all the images so you can understand what you’re stitching – no previous knowledge required!

There are three different choices – Option 1, Option 2, or Options 1 and 2. Please look at the pictures to decide which you’d like. Option 1 has “fuzzy edges” and the main text. Option 2 has straight edges (and so more suitable for also using the images individually as cards or coasters etc), no main text and the names of the space features underneath.

The stitched area of the finished piece is: 114 stitches wide x 137 stitches high
On 14 count fabric this is approximately 8.1 x 9.8 inches or 20.7 x 24.9 cm
Other count fabrics can be used - just adjust the sizing accordingly.

The pattern uses 45 DMC colours - less than 1 skein of each apart from 310 Black of which you'll need 2 skeins (making 46 skeins in total).

You will receive two pattern booklets, one with colour patterns and one with black & white patterns. The pattern booklets include split page and single page patterns, and descriptions of all the images. You will also receive comprehensive cross stitch instructions.

Pattern Option 1 uses full cross stitches only – no backstitch, fractional stitches or French knots. Pattern Option 2 uses full cross stitches only in the main body of the design, with backstitch and French knots in the text, and no fractional stitches.

Skill level: Suitable for those with experience of cross stitch.
